We will discuss your ideas, requirements and aspirations to allow us to develop a 'design brief' for your project. To allow us to then to prepare drawings we will generally require a set of existing plans of the site that are to scale. Often this will require us to carry out a basic measured survey of a property which will be accurate enough to allow us to develop drawings of, for example, an extensions or alteration. ![]() Should a more accurate survey or a topographical survey of land or a site be required then a survey company will need to be employed. |

We are happy to meet with you and discuss your ideas with no committment on you to commission further work. This introductory meeting is free, provided you are within a reasonable distance to our office otherwise a small fee to cover travel expenses will be requested. Following this initial meeting a fee proposal for our professional services can be provided which will be tailored to your projects requirements. Our fee is generally quoted as a lump sum which is paid in stages at the completion of specific milestones in the project. We provide a fully detailed schedule of payments at the outset of a project for your agreement and a standard form of the RIAS Chartered architects appointment.
